Beautiful, comfortable place with a fabulous view of the town and water. Loved the privacy of having our own deck, but also being able to converse casually with other guests and the hosts at the pool or while coming and going. Much better than a hotel experience, and a better value. Tom and Chuck are extremely warm, kind, friendly, and thoughtful. Their suggestions and tips were very helpful, too. We must say that the climb up the steep stairs is not for anyone not in reasonable shape. But we are in our 60’s and did fine, even enjoyed the exercise. We’d definitely love to come back!

WOW Chuck and Tom are the best hosts ever!! They were so friendly, responded right away to all my messages, and went way above and beyond my expectations as hosts. I went with my boyfriend to PV for my birthday, my first time visiting. I’m so glad I picked this place, and like other reviewers have probably said you WILL get your steps in if you decide to take the stairs or the hill up and down to get to the shops, restaurants, and beach! I appreciated it as I didn’t have to worry about not getting exercise, just make sure you drink like 10x the amount of water you normally drink! You can also take uber or taxi, that’s also really easy, but it’s definitely worthwhile to see the city by walking, bring your best walking shoes! The accommodations were beautiful, I loved waking up to the view of the city and the ocean every morning. The rooftop pool area is the perfect spot to hang out in the afternoon during the hottest part of the day if you’d prefer some solitude away from the crowds and probably the best view of the city. This spot is such a nice tucked away gem, it’s worth the climb! Don’t hesitate to book with Chuck and Tom, they are the best! #pvforever

This charming property is the perfect blend of old charm and convenience. The pictures don’t do it justice! We loved that we could walk everywhere. The neighborhood is safe and eclectic. We felt immersed in an area of modest and grand homes. We never tired of exploring the area. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk. Our favorite thing was to walk the couple blocks to the market where we got fresh squeezed orange juice ($1 usd for a liter!), fresh pico de gallo, tortillas hot and fresh from the tortilleria (about 30 for $.50!), and perfectly ripe papayas. Then we would sit on our private terrace and eat them over looking the city and bay. Truly the best! The hosts are incredibly nice and everything we could possibly want was easily available. This is by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at and could not recommend it more highly!The only thing worth noting is that it is up a hill and the last two blocks are fairly steep. However, it is a very cheap Uber ride from anywhere in town so you don’t have to walk the hill if that isn’t your thing.

I recently stayed with Chuck and Tom for a 6 night stay. Upon my arrival I was welcomed with warm greetings. I was shown around the property and any of my needs were addressed. They supplied ample supplies of toiletry items, coffee, water, and condiments. If I had any questions or concerns they were right there to assist me. The view from the pool was beautiful specially at sunset.. My room had a comfortable king size bed, private shower, and full kitchen. I came to Puerto Vallarta by myself and felt very safe and getting around was easy via bus or Uber. Local restaurants were great and most had tasty food. This house is on a steep hill but if you want to feel and see the culture of PV this is a place to be. Don’t let the hill scare you because it’s either great exercise or take a Uber from town to the establishment. You won’t regret your decision to stay at Casa Tamarindo. Tell Chuck and Tom I said hi!

Chuck & Tom, were nothing short of welcoming, gracious, hospitable defiantly without a doubt HELPFUL! I’m forever indebted to these two wonderful men for the generosity of time not to mention patients. After losing my cell phone in an Uber coming back to the house. I realized I was in big trouble that my cell phone was taking a joy ride through PV without me. These guys logged on to their computers, one on his one on the other. A few hours later, And we managed got it back. LOVE YOU GUYS! They keep this place looking amazing! It’s very clean. Fresh towels everyday if needed. They are both nothing short of on top of it all. They have made it easy for you They’ve got a binder of suggested places to eat things to do. My partner and I have nothing but great things to say about the entire experience the location and the way it’s been kept up. We can’t wait to go back. To bad we could only give it 5 stars. Even if we could give it 10 it wouldn’t be enough.

We’ve stayed in dozens of Airbnbs in Mexico, US, Canada and Europe and Chuck and Tom are without any doubt the best hosts we’ve ever had! They will go out of their way to make your stay worthwhile.
